About us

About Steady Check

Weight loss coaching for adults who already know how to train and eat, and lost the time and the consistency to do it. A coach builds the plan around your real schedule, then checks in to keep it going.

Why we exist

Why Steady Check exists

  • Kids
  • Longer hours at work
  • A longer commute

Most of the people we coach used to be fit. Then life filled up, and the hour a day they used to train turned into twenty minutes on a good day.

They already know protein and squats. They lost the routine, and a plan that fits the week they have instead of the week a program assumes.

Most programs also end at goal weight, which is when old habits come back and the weight follows. Steady Check covers both parts: getting back, and staying there.

The short version

How it works, in short

You start with Steady Start, a free time audit. A coach builds a plan across diet, movement and mindset from the minutes you have, with strength work in it to help you keep muscle.

Then a regular Steady Check keeps the plan matched to your weeks, with messages to your coach in between.

Built like a season

Three phases, one season

Athletes plan a year in phases. Steady Check runs the same way. Pick a phase to see what happens in it.

Preseason

Free

Steady Start

Before any plan, a short audit of your time: what you can give on a normal day, what you can give on a bad one, and what dinner looks like when the day falls apart. The result is yours whether or not you pick a plan.

Season

$129 a month

Rebuild

The coach-built plan and a Steady Check every week until you reach your goal. Hard weeks get a smaller version of the plan, decided ahead of time, the way an athlete plans a lighter week instead of losing one.

Maintenance

$49 a month

Hold

The same coach and plan, a Steady Check every two weeks, and a reset the moment a week goes sideways. Keeping weight off takes a plan too, so this is where long-term members stay.

Your coach

What coaches do, and what they do not

Coaches are real people. This site does not list names or credentials; you meet your coach when you start.

A couple makes dinner together in their kitchen.

Your coach does

  • Builds your plan from your Steady Start answers
  • Runs your Steady Check and reads how the week went
  • Scales the plan down before a hard week, not after it
  • Answers your messages between check-ins
  • Plans sleep and stress the same way as a workout

Your coach does not

  • Give medical advice or change anything your doctor has set
  • Sell you food, products, or add-ons
  • Hand you a meal plan to follow to the gram
  • Give pep talks
The company

How Steady Check is run

Steady Check is a coaching company. Plans are billed monthly with no contracts, and you can stop whenever you choose. Steady Start is free.

Steady Check is coaching, not medical care. Talk to your doctor before you change your diet or exercise.
